Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our Care Assistants to ensure outstanding care is delivered at all times.

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of Care Assistants to ensure high-quality care is delivered
  • Working closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments to ensure successful care delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care OR three years' experience without an NVQ
  • Experience in a nursing or care home OR as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks – Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable
