Senior Care Assistant

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at our Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing physical, emotional, and social support to our residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
About the Role:- You will work alongside and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care and support to our residents.
- You will be responsible for creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments, working closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure the successful delivery of care.
- You will engage in meaningful activities with our residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
- Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
