Senior Building Surveyor Job Opportunity

Hunter Dunning Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join their team in Romford, London. As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on building projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct site inspections and surveys to identify defects and potential issues
  2. Prepare and submit reports on site conditions, defects, and recommendations for remedial work
  3. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
  4. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
  5. Manage and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project completion
  6. Conduct fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
  7. Prepare tender documents and administer contracts
  8. Provide condition survey reports for planned maintenance and asset expenditure planning
  9. Develop specifications and schedules for refurbishment and alteration works
  10. Manage party wall surveying and dilapidations

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in building surveying or a related field
  2. MRICS or MCIOB or relevant experience
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  6. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools

What We Offer:

  1. Competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 (negotiable)
  2. 22 days of annual leave + Christmas + Bank Holidays (increasing by 1 day each year up to a maximum of 27 days)
