Senior Building Surveyor – Hybrid Role
We are seeking a Senior Building Surveyor for a well-established consultancy known for its comprehensive services in the construction sector. The position offers a competitive salary and flexible working arrangements.
This consultancy has a strong portfolio of repeat clients and operates across both private and public sectors. With a dedicated team, they focus on delivering high-quality services in various project types including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The work environment promotes a healthy work-life balance and encourages professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a full spectrum of project and professional duties for diverse sectors including residential, commercial, and healthcare.
- Perform Fire Risk Assessments (training available).
- Manage project work including the preparation of tender documents and overseeing post-contract administration.
- Utilize JCT Intermediate and JCT Design and Build contracts.
- Gather site information and produce detailed written reports.
- Conduct site surveys and generate reports such as Schedules of Condition and Defect Diagnosis.
- Prepare condition survey reports for maintenance planning and asset management.
- Draft tender documents for refurbishment and alteration projects.
- Handle party wall surveying and dilapidations.
- Create specifications and schedules.
- Provide feasibility estimates.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field.
- MRICS or MCIOB qualifications, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Consultancy experience is essential.
- Strong client-facing abilities.
- Experience in refurbishment and remedial project management.
- Background in professional services such as condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
- Fire Risk Assessment knowledge is a plus (training can be provided).
What We Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £70,000 (negotiable).
