About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hand Therapist to join our team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, effective clinical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients referred from Consultants, GP's, PMI's or self referrals, as well as post-operative patients.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHP's and consultants, playing a key role in helping our patients recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
  • Liaise closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them.
  • Exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and integrity, with excellent communication skills.
  • Participate and provide support to the national Nuffield Health Hand Therapy network with regular supervision sessions.
Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Evidence of further professional hand therapy specific training and continual professional development.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
