Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Hand Rehabilitation Specialist role includes:

  • Developing individualized rehabilitation plans for musculoskeletal referrals, working in conjunction with the multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Overseeing complex patient cases with a patient-centered focus, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and the best possible clinical outcomes.
  • Acting as a clinical authority for other healthcare professionals, including external physiotherapists, to ensure the best patient outcomes.
  • Reviewing and integrating emerging evidence in the field of expertise into the Nuffield Health Wellbeing evidence-based pathways.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess a BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and have substantial post-graduate experience. Holding or pursuing a relevant MSc is essential, along with registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Strong clinical and analytical skills are required, demonstrating an advanced understanding of musculoskeletal conditions gained through five years of clinical practice and post-graduate education. The ability to assess complex conditions is crucial.
