Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team at the Scottish Schools Pipe and Drums Trust. As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for driving our organisation's strategy and vision, ensuring we continue to make a tangible contribution to Scotland's cultural health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a new strategy to ensure the organisation's continued evolution and growth.
  • Lead the development of our national instrument lending scheme and work with partners to provide professional development for piping and drumming instructors.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships and work with our experienced organising committee to ensure its success.
  • Seek new partnerships and co-create new projects to reach even more young people and introduce them to the pipes and drums.
  • Establish local or regional organisations to take forward tuition programmes and co-create new tutor roles.

The Scottish Schools Pipe and Drums Trust is a well-established organisation dedicated to helping raise attainment and broaden achievement amongst Scotland's state school pupils. We are passionate about introducing young people to the pipes and drums, and we believe that music has the power to transform lives.
