Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Paediatric Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a highly specialist speech and language therapy service for children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist speech and language therapy assessment, advice, and treatment to a defined caseload of children and young people with severe and complex needs.
- Work in partnership with children and young people, their families, and other professions and agencies to reduce the impact of speech and language difficulties on their social and emotional development, learning, and ability to participate in daily life.
- Contribute to the development of the special schools speech and language therapy service for children and young people.
- Work autonomously and without direct supervision, being accountable for your own actions.
- Postgraduate dysphagia training at intermediate level or Quest.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Experience of working with children and young people with eating and drinking difficulties, complex needs, and those requiring an AAC approach.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches and practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, promoting a collaborative multidisciplinary and multiagency approach.
