Specialist School Nurse - Full Time - Term Time Only
We are seeking a dedicated professional with a background in community pediatric nursing, experience in children's continence, and a passion for working within special education settings.
The Specialist School Nursing Team provides essential healthcare services to children with intricate health requirements attending various special schools. Responsibilities include conducting health evaluations, developing and updating care plans, managing urgent situations, and offering training to educational personnel. The team also prepares reports and participates in safeguarding conferences.
The ideal candidate will possess the capability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and educational staff to support and empower children, young individuals, and their families, ensuring they achieve optimal health and developmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
The Specialist School Nursing Team is responsible for delivering healthcare to children and young people with complex health needs aged 3-19 in educational settings. Duties include:
- Conducting health assessments and formulating care plans.
- Managing emergency healthcare situations and providing necessary training to school staff.
- Ensuring high-quality nursing care is consistently delivered across all campuses.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and social services, to support children and their families.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- NMC Registered Nurse (adult, child, or learning disability)
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
