Paediatric Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a specialist clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist occupational therapy services to children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties.
- Contribute to the development of the special schools occupational therapy service for children and young people.
- Plan and provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice, and treatment to a defined caseload of children and young people with severe and complex needs.
- Work in partnership with children and young people, their families, and other professions and agencies to reduce the impact of difficulties on their social and emotional development, learning, and ability to participate in daily life.
- Work autonomously and without direct supervision, being accountable for your own actions.
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Registration with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
- Specialist knowledge and experience in paediatric occupational therapy or relevant transferable skills.
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs, ASD, neurological conditions, coordination disorders, and functional needs.
- Experience of assessing for the provision of equipment such as specialist seating and splinting.
