Clinical Service Manager - Acute Mental Health Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Service Manager to join our team at a leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of clinical staff in a specialist acute mental health hospital for men aged 18 years and over. The hospital provides a comprehensive pathway of acute admissions services for men, working to assess and manage risk factors, and providing a robust and successful service for individuals posing a higher level of complexity and challenge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of clinical staff in providing high-quality clinical and therapeutic care to patients
  • Develop and implement effective clinical practices and leadership in care delivery
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and key performance indicators
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the hospital's strategy as part of the Senior Management team
  • Provide operational and clinical leadership to the wider staff group in support of the Hospital Manager
Requirements
  • A relevant nursing qualification (RMN or RNLD trained) with at least 2 years of managerial experience
  • NMC registration
  • Proven track record in leading teams and senior practice-based work
  • Expertise in setting, monitoring, and evaluating standards for high-quality care
  • Competent in preparing and presenting reports to senior management
  • Experience in establishing therapeutic boundaries with high-risk patients requiring advanced interventions
  • Preferably experienced in working within acute and/or PICU settings
  • Proficient in working with partner organisations, commissioners, and external stakeholders
