Senior Clinical Operations Manager

Compass Associates is proud to be working with a leading provider of clinical pharmacy services, delivering expert solutions to GP federations, GP surgeries, and primary care networks across the country. Our client is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team.
As a Clinical Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the delivery of the clinical pharmacy services, providing strategic leadership, and ensuring compliance with all relevant governance frameworks. You will be responsible for managing a national team of clinical pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring operational excellence and driving continuous service improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring that all clinical and non-clinical staff meet and exceed regulatory standards.
• Lead, manage, and develop clinical staff, ensuring their performance and growth align with business targets.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership, maintaining excellent relationships and responding to queries in a timely manner.
• Drive service development and innovation, continuously improving the quality and scope of services provided.
• Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory frameworks, conducting risk assessments and monitoring staff competencies.
• Manage operational processes including rota management, staff cover, performance reviews, and service audits.
• Analyse clinical/non-clinical data, creating reports and dashboards for senior leadership and board review.
• Support business planning and service development to contribute to the company's long-term success.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, and attend conferences as needed.
Requirements:
• Registered Clinical Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner or Practice Manager with a minimum of 2 years experience in primary care.
• Registered with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) or NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) with good standing.
• Proven leadership and management experience in clinical operations, preferably within a primary care setting.
• Strong understanding of the Primary Care Network (PCN) Directed Enhanced Service (DES), General Medical Services (GMS), and Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and team performance effectively.
