Job Title: Employment Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Support Worker to join our team at Catch22. As an Employment Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people aged 18-24 to achieve their full potential and secure meaningful employment with Amazon through our partnership with Amazon and Project Search.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized training and support to interns at the host business worksite, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace.
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including employers, educators, and other support services, to ensure the success of the interns and the achievement of our partnership goals.
  • Conduct job analysis and matching activities to identify employment opportunities that align with the skills and interests of the interns.
  • Implement employment plans and attend planning meetings to assess progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Deliver training in essential skills such as personal hygiene, communication, and self-management, helping interns to develop the skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
  • Offer travel training when necessary, to help interns develop the skills and confidence they need to navigate public transportation and other aspects of independent living.
Requirements
  • A Level 2 Qualification in English and Maths
  • A Level 2 Teaching Qualification (PTTLS or equivalent)
Experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in education or vocational training
  • Experience working with disengaged or hard-to-reach young people
  • Demonstrated success in engaging with learners and employers
Skills and Attributes
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their full potential
  • Strong communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of student progression into employment and education
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

This role will require frequent local travel and occasional overnight stays. Flexibility in working hours is essential.

Salary: £25, £26,810.89 pro rata per annum
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
