About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Second Chef to join our Hospitality team at The Grange, a care home operated by Runwood Homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety
  • Work collaboratively with the hospitality team to deliver excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a chef in a care home or similar environment
  • Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead junior staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We offer a competitive salary of £12.58 per hour and a supportive working environment.
