Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher to join our team at Aurora Hanley School. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of achieving outstanding outcomes for children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement tailored curricula that meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and research in special education.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher status with a specialization in special education.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching children with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of the curriculum for pupils with SEN, ability to create and maintain strong nurturing relationships with students, and experience of managing a range of approaches to learning.
