About the Role: Teacher Active is excited to collaborate with secondary educational institutions that provide support for students facing challenges related to Autism and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and more complex behavioral issues.

Student Support: The institutions we partner with focus on assisting children who may exhibit disruptive behaviors, verbal and physical outbursts, ADHD, and Autism. They are committed to fostering a nurturing and tranquil environment that empowers students to believe in themselves, achieve their goals, and succeed in their educational journey.

Building Relationships: By cultivating strong and positive relationships with educators, these schools aim to achieve exceptional performance and outcomes, ensuring a bright future for their students.

What We Are Looking For: We seek a committed and enthusiastic SEMH Teacher who can take on various placements, including day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles.

  • Must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have at least 6 months of relevant SEND experience.
  • Flexibility to cover classes at short notice due to staff absences or training sessions.
  • While lessons are often pre-planned, the ideal candidate should be capable of designing their own lesson plans and resources.
  • Ability to tailor tasks to accommodate the unique needs of individual students.
