Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, self-assured, and proactive Administrative Support Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be integral to our service team, handling a variety of tasks including responding to inquiries from patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and managing electronic communications.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain composure and efficiency in high-pressure situations, along with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as interactions may involve individuals with varying levels of English proficiency or hearing difficulties. Proficiency in various software applications is crucial for this role.

The working hours will be scheduled between 17:00 and 22:00, Monday to Friday, on a rotating shift pattern that includes alternate weekends and public holidays, for which additional compensation will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves contributing to the smooth operation of the Community Assessment Unit, which includes:

  • Answering calls from patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, accurately recording and relaying information to relevant staff.
  • Assisting in the management of electronic referrals and communications received by the team.
  • Adhering to established service protocols and providing administrative support to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and safe patient care.

Qualifications Required

Essential Criteria

  • A valid (UK/EU) Driving Licence.
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications, or a commitment to achieve this standard.
