Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Venatu Recruitment Group. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Quality Assurance Team and Hygiene Team across all shifts to ensure the factory is always compliant and audit-ready.
  • Lead regular shift handovers and quality meetings with your team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure all shifts are covered with the necessary skills, including managing holiday schedules.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits and investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the technical manager to develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Ensure the site is maintained in a clean and food-safe condition, with low micro and gluten-free counts.
  • Manage plant shutdowns to achieve a clean and food-safe plant.
  • Develop and maintain quality systems associated with food production to agreed safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Quality Manager.
  • Knowledge of retailer requirements, alerts, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in computer system packages (Excel, Word).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of food legislation and its interpretation.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to motivate others.
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to get involved.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work objectives.
