Development Manager

A new role within the TE Operational Team providing professional technical and engineering operational facilities expertise is required. You will be responsible for managing site facilities, ensuring compliance obligations are adhered to, overseeing asset management, waste and stores, site security and safety, and site efficiency, as well as overseeing site improvements to deliver staff wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage facilities to ensure they meet health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Oversee the delivery of production, laboratory, and research spaces, ensuring they are designed, built, and equipped to meet the needs of TE's diverse projects in a timely and compliant manner.
- Lead on the management of our assets, developing our asset management strategy and plan to ensure regulatory compliance and good asset husbandry.
- Manage facilities budget and financial reporting.
- Develop and administer engineering and soft facilities management contracts.
- Lead and support facilities and stores teams.
- Collaborate with international teams for consistent facilities management.
- Work with EHS and Risk departments on compliance and sustainability.
- Plan and manage site development projects and, in collaboration with relevant departments, drive improvements in the delivery of employee welfare, ensuring a supportive and healthy work environment.
- Responsible for all of TE's waste management, including hazardous waste, to ensure compliance with operational permits and environmental regulations.
- Have good management skills, an ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines, and strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience with various systems including Heating, Cooling, HV, LV, Lighting, Power distribution, Ventilation, Control, Domestic Water, Fire, Air conditioning, and Water Hygiene of Closed and Domestic Systems.
- Comfortable with Compliance - Statutory / Regulatory / Codes / Building Regulations.
- Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years design experience in the building services industry.
- Seen projects from concept to completion.
- Experience of the lifecycle of assets within the estate, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
