Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Solutions Architect to join our Application Services division, driven by growth and strategic initiatives in Oracle Services. This role will involve providing technical direction, expertise, and leadership in the development, implementation, standardization, and management of Oracle technologies and services. The Oracle Solutions Architect will collaborate closely with Group Technology, Architecture, Portfolio, and Product Management teams to ensure that our capabilities align with current and future demands in terms of skills and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide robust technical leadership to enhance the Oracle capabilities within Group Functions, ensuring adherence to quality standards, development lifecycles, security protocols, service continuity, governance, and policy compliance.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering individual growth and acting as a mentor to team members, guiding them in technical skills, career progression, and personal development.
  • Ensure technical excellence within the Oracle Capability by staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, in close collaboration with the Architecture team.
  • Oversee the creation of Low-Level Designs for Oracle implementations (HCM and EPM), working with IT operations, data analytics, architecture, and security teams to ensure solutions are designed in accordance with enterprise architecture and security standards.
  • Develop and maintain an Oracle Delivery Roadmap that considers all ongoing work within the capability, including patching, upgrades, projects, and critical change periods, in collaboration with Group Technology, Portfolio, Product Managers, and the Architecture Team.
  • Contribute to the IT delivery sourcing strategy, ensuring it complements and enhances the internal IT Solutions team while considering skills development, costs, and customer demand. Actively manage third-party delivery partners to ensure compliance with standards and effective delivery of Oracle Services.
  • Establish a clear vision and objectives for the Oracle Capability, defining and tracking key performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio and Product Management teams to effectively plan and allocate resources, ensuring the Oracle Capability possesses the necessary skills and capacity to meet objectives.
  • Work with the Service Management team to develop and maintain a Service Catalogue for Oracle Services, ensuring aligned service standards (KPI/SLAs) are met and continuously improved.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, facilitating effective communication within the Oracle Capability and promoting strong collaboration with Group Technology, Portfolio teams, Product Managers, and Architects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Oracle Capability to enhance resilience, mitigate risks, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce total cost of ownership.
Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM, including Core HR, Compensation Management, Talent Management, Performance Management, Absence Management, Benefits Management, and Payroll.
  • Strong understanding of data management, migration, and integration between Fusion HCM and other business applications.
  • Experience in business process automation within Oracle Fusion HCM, including workflows, notifications, alerts, and escalations.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools related to Oracle Fusion Services, such as Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, Oracle BI Publisher, and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, policies, controls, security features, and best practices related to Oracle Fusion Services.
  • Understanding of monitoring and management services for tracking performance, availability, and health of resources and applications.
  • Familiarity with security concepts and roles-based access control (RBAC) in Oracle Fusion Services, including defining security roles, permissions, and data access policies.
  • Desirable knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, reporting, and analytics.
  • Desirable knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
  • Oracle Associate and Professional certifications are a plus.
  • This position is ideal for individuals with proven experience in technical leadership and expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Services.
  • Extensive experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) is essential; experience in Financials is a plus.
  • Experience in managing the development of an Oracle Service capability is crucial.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement in Oracle Services.
  • Extensive experience with the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Ability to adapt to various delivery methodologies, including waterfall and Agile.
  • Experience in developing talent within a technical environment.
  • Experience in aligning services that utilize in-house capabilities supplemented by third parties to create efficient operating models.
  • Strong influencing skills at senior levels, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and KeyedIn is beneficial.
