About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Home Support Worker to join our team in Galashiels, Scotland. As a Care Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults in a care home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Demonstrate emotional resilience when supporting individuals facing challenging behaviors or loneliness.
  • Work flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 care and support.
  • Administer medication, change dressings, and assist with basic meal preparation, as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with adults in a care setting, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Registration under the PVG scheme, ensuring a safe and secure environment for service users.
  • A full driving license, essential for transporting service users and staff.
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
