Job Overview

Our teams, along with our delivery managers, are dedicated to products that significantly impact some of the most vulnerable individuals in society. We seek individuals who share our commitment to this unique mission. We currently have two positions available within the following teams:

In the Hybrid Cloud Services team, we are tasked with developing and maintaining cloud-based tools utilized across the department for service development. These services assist vulnerable users in obtaining the financial support they require due to health conditions or disabilities.

Within the Retirement Digital team, we focus on managing and enhancing digital services. Our goal is to ensure that individuals over the state pension age can effectively plan for and secure the support necessary to live without undue hardship. We play a crucial role in the DWP's modernization efforts, with a commitment to delivering comprehensive service transformation for both citizens and DWP staff. You will be part of a high-profile, complex, multi-disciplinary team, representing all facets of delivery in an agile setting. Your role will involve supporting a delivery team that prioritizes user needs and outcomes.

We aim to revolutionize how our most vulnerable users access the support they require. Collaborating with policy, strategy, service delivery, and cross-government digital sectors, we are designing future health and disability services, focusing on making improvements and delivering value early and consistently, all while striving for a vision of integrated services that meet user needs and align with departmental strategies.

We are in search of passionate Agile Delivery Managers who are comfortable collaborating with the Product Manager and technical and data professionals, engaging in a wide range of activities aimed at creating services that enhance citizen experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead Delivery Manager and working closely with the Product Manager and Project Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Eliminating obstacles, actively facilitating retrospective actions, and fostering an environment conducive to the success of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Utilizing your agile expertise to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within a high-performing team.
  • Collaborating daily with the Product Manager and specialists in devops engineering, site reliability engineering, digital performance measurement, business analysis, user research, and content development.
  • Providing regular updates on progress against established quarterly outcomes.
  • Leading, monitoring, and supporting the team's advancement towards agreed outcomes through consistent team events, tools, and metrics.

Salary Information

The salary for this position ranges from a specified minimum to a specified maximum. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for a Digital Allowance based on an assessment of their skills and experience. Offers to successful candidates will be determined based on their demonstrated skills and experience during the interview process.
