About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Director to join our team at FNZ. As a key member of our delivery function, you will be responsible for leading and managing a successful multi-functional team to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership
  • Lead and manage a multi-functional team to deliver projects from inception to production warranty support.
  • Ensure successful project delivery, on schedule, on budget, and of high quality.
  • Manage project risks and issues, and take mitigation actions as required.
Team Management
  • Line manage and lead direct reports.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all team members, ensuring effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Direct team members to ensure they undertake their responsibilities effectively and complete all required tasks.
Client Relationship Management
  • Work closely with client relationship managers and clients to identify project pipelines, secure revenue, and manage demand.
  • Ensure alignment and coordination of development solutions with client expectations.
Process Improvement
  • Contribute to defining and rolling out process improvements within the delivery function.
  • Encourage effective teamwork amongst team members and project managers to produce accurate solutions delivery estimates.
Requirements
  1. Experience
  • 2-5 years' experience in a delivery or project management role with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Strong leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Significant experience of software development delivery, preferably with the financial services industry.
Skills
  • Strong background in software development, ideally with relevant technologies to FNZ.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement skills and experience.
  • Confidently able to take the initiative in a client and delivery-focused environment.
Education
  • Degree qualified or equivalent.
Desirable
  1. Project Management Qualifications
  • Project management professional qualifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile project management).
Industry Knowledge
  • Familiarity with financial products and markets desirable.
