About the Role

The BBC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Project Manager to join its Data Operations team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering and scaling complex data initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and coordinate the day-to-day management of a portfolio of workstreams that underpin the Pan-BBC Data Strategy.
  • Drive adoption of Agile techniques with Data Product Teams and promote a continuous improvement mindset across Data teams.
  • Set up and run Data Literacy/Fluency programs and lead various initiatives across the Data Strategy portfolio.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and innovation in outcome delivery.
  • Lead change management programs to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes, programs, and products.
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and impediments, implementing mitigation strategies to drive successful strategic outcomes.
  • Ensure stakeholder commitments are met, documenting and communicating any changes to expectations.
  • Champion agile best practices, providing coaching and mentorship to teams and individuals, and facilitating the development of agile competencies.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including senior management, product managers, and development teams, to align on project priorities and timelines.
