About the Team / Area

We are currently seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our dedicated team:

North Devon – including Braunton, Lynmouth/Lynton, Ilfracombe, and South Molton.

The successful candidate will become part of a well-established social care team, integrated within a broader community service framework that encompasses community nursing and therapy. This role will involve working across a diverse geographical area, focusing primarily on older adults and individuals with physical or learning disabilities.

Flexibility is essential, as the team collaborates with numerous community partners, including healthcare providers, voluntary organizations, and mental health specialists.

The role is diverse, challenging, and rewarding, offering the right candidate the chance to make a meaningful impact by driving improvements in practice and contributing to service development. Providing professional leadership and supervision to team members Collaborating with the Team Manager and colleagues to ensure a consistent and effective service Offering advanced decision-making and problem-solving support to the Social Care workforce Assisting the Team Manager with daily operational tasks related to practice Taking on a lead practitioner role, fostering evidence-based practice within the team
