Position Overview

Bruin is a prominent player in the asset management sector, recognized for its expansive portfolio and innovative approach. We are currently in search of a Product Innovation Lead to enhance our product development team.

The successful candidate will collaborate with clients across EMEA and APAC regions, working closely with both investment and sales divisions. The Product Innovation Lead will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Defining product specifications, including aspects of design, market feasibility, and operational practicality;
  • Creating comprehensive fund documentation, such as fund prospectuses, in partnership with external legal advisors and internal stakeholders;
  • Overseeing and coordinating fund launches and modifications across various jurisdictions and fund categories;
  • Managing the project lifecycle for product introductions, ensuring adherence to governance protocols through all necessary approval stages;
  • Addressing all regulatory requirements, including considerations related to the Volcker rule and ESG factors, as well as any other relevant regulations impacting product design;
  • Participating in research initiatives focused on exploring new fund structures and potential domiciles to broaden our product offerings.

The ideal candidate for the Product Innovation Lead role will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in product management, with direct involvement in managing a diverse product range across various jurisdictions;
  • Proficient in reviewing and drafting fund proposals and legal documentation;
  • A solid understanding of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments;
  • Technical expertise in UCITS/AIFs and a keen interest in the implications of evolving regulations;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory;
  • Possession of a CFA Charter is a plus but not essential.
