Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Crisis Support Specialists to join our team at the Teesside Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). As a Crisis Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to victims of sexual assault throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking support at the SARC.
  • Guide and assist patients and their families through the process of visiting the centre, including preparation for forensic examinations and evidence collection.
  • Ensure strict adherence to DNA anticontamination protocols between forensic cases, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to effectively manage patient care pathways and ensure comprehensive support.
  • Provide ongoing support and advocacy to patients during their time at the SARC.
  • Contribute as a valued member of the SARC team and wider Mountain Healthcare network.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience working in a supportive or customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent IT skills and basic administrative proficiency.
  • A compassionate and caring nature with a strong commitment to confidentiality.
  • Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
