Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sensory Support Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to students with visual or hearing impairments, ensuring they have equal access to education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Sensory Support: Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to develop educational plans that cater to the individual needs of students with visual or hearing impairments.
  • Adapt Learning Materials: Modify teaching methods and learning materials to ensure students with sensory impairments can fully participate in educational activities.
  • Accessible Learning Environments: Assist in creating learning environments that are accessible and inclusive for students with sensory impairments.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with teachers, other specialists, and school staff to ensure seamless support for students with sensory impairments.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to determine students' needs and progress, and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in sensory support or a related field.
  • Experience: Relevant experience working with students with sensory impairments.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Primarily work in educational settings such as schools and colleges.
  • Travel: May require travel between different locations within the Yorkshire and the Humber region.
  • Working Hours: Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work.
