Job Overview:

Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced Compliance Vice President to join their team. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer and involves providing high-level compliance advisory services, monitoring regulatory adherence, and contributing to the development and enhancement of the firm's Risk and Compliance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Oversee the firm's compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring all activities align with industry regulations.
  • Compliance Risk Assessment: Lead the ongoing updates and refinement of the firm's Compliance Risk Assessment.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Provide expert regulatory guidance and advice to senior leadership as needed.
  • Policy Review: Regularly review and update firm-wide policies and procedures to ensure they meet current regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Regulatory Horizon Scanning: Stay ahead of regulatory changes that could impact the firm, ensuring timely identification and response.
  • Compliance Training: Design and deliver comprehensive Compliance training across the firm to ensure regulatory standards are understood and adhered to.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance Team on various tasks, offering support during less busy periods.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance roles within the financial services sector, with a preference for experience in trading or investment firms.
  • Legal Expertise: A legal background is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of AML and CTF regulations, along with FCA rules, and the ability to apply them pragmatically and effectively.
