We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual for the position of Senior Vice President of Governance and Compliance within a prominent operational services provider dedicated to military and governmental sectors globally.


Role Summary:
As the Senior Vice President of Governance and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in the formulation, execution, and oversight of governance and compliance initiatives that meet legal standards and regulatory mandates. You will collaborate closely with the executive leadership and Board of Directors to align with the strategic objectives of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute governance policies and practices.
  • Ensure the governance framework is in line with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the scheduling and documentation of Board and Sub-Committee meetings, providing guidance on governance matters.
  • Design and implement compliance programs that adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on compliance activities, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Conduct audits and assessments, and develop training programs to enhance compliance awareness.
  • Manage responses to investigations and audits.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework.
  • Integrate risk management practices into operational processes and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the code of conduct and ethics policies.
  • Foster a culture of integrity and ethical behavior within the organization.
  • Manage the whistleblower program, ensuring that concerns are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Lead and mentor the governance and compliance team, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of corporate governance principles, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Experience in developing and implementing governance and compliance programs is essential.
