About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Bank RMN. As a Bank RMN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs in a variety of settings, including emergency departments, medical assessment areas, and wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level nursing and observation to patients with mental health needs.
  • Deliver a range of nursing and psychosocial interventions to help reduce patients' distress.
  • Assist and support general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations.
Requirements
  • RMN NMC registration.
  • Knowledge of working therapeutically with individuals following self-harm.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and the Mental Health Act and their use in the general hospital.
  • Knowledge of the clinical and demographic risk factors associated with self-harm and suicide.
