Deputy Director of People and Organisational Development

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of People, Organisational Development and Inclusion to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and organisational development, with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformational change.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to our People Directorate, ensuring the effective delivery of services and the development of a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and implementation of our People Strategy
- Providing strong leadership and direction to the People Directorate
- Collaborating with senior leaders to drive organisational change and improvement
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to support the delivery of our People Strategy
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including staff, staff representatives, and system partners
Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, learning disability and autism services across Derby and Derbyshire, alongside services for children and young people in Derby and southern Derbyshire. Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent professional qualification
- Full membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent
- Significant experience at a senior level within a role of a similar nature, with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformational change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- A strong understanding of UK employment legislation and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
