This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned and driven verification engineer to become a vital part of the dynamic Arm Systems ISP team.

This is a fast-paced technical position that utilizes cutting-edge hardware design and verification techniques to develop intricate and highly configurable hardware ISP intellectual property.

The focus of this role is within the ISP product verification team.

The ISP division is responsible for designing Image Signal Processors and related technologies for sectors such as Automotive, Embedded-IoT, Teleconferencing, and Surveillance. Our intellectual property encompasses RTL, reference drivers, tools, and libraries that empower our clients to innovate and build upon our IP.

You will be tasked with specifying and creating new hardware verification testbenches for next-generation hardware IP. Enhancing existing testbenches to boost performance, quality, and efficiency will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process and methodology improvements and implement those changes to elevate our hardware verification best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating and analyzing proposed design modifications from a verification complexity perspective.
  • Designing verification IP and comprehensive verification environments.
  • Exploring and scripting new verification workflows while optimizing current ones.
  • Utilizing machine learning and data science techniques to analyze simulation run data for effective bug detection and debugging.
  • Establishing methodologies and deploying them within the team, while taking full ownership of verification closure and mentoring fellow team members.
  • Collaborating closely with other Arm engineering teams to ensure high-quality IP that integrates seamlessly within a complete system.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in constrained-random verification, including managing a complex verification environment and developing testbenches.
  • Expertise in creating reusable and scalable code, with in-depth knowledge of SV-UVM.
  • Strong scripting capabilities, enabling the development of scripts to support both new and existing workflows.
  • Solid software engineering background, including a grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with the tools and processes necessary for developing testbenches and completing all facets of the verification process.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring.
  • Knowledge of multiprocessing microarchitecture, including bus protocols (e.g., AMBA APB/AHB/AXI).
  • Previous involvement in Formal Verification testbenches is advantageous.
  • Experience in media, video, ISP, or display projects is beneficial.
