London, Greater London, United Kingdom ARM Full time

This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned and driven verification engineer to become part of the dynamic Arm Systems ISP team.

In this fast-paced technical position, you will utilize cutting-edge hardware design and verification techniques to develop intricate and highly adaptable hardware ISP intellectual property.

This position focuses on the ISP product verification team.

The ISP division is responsible for designing Image Signal Processors and related technologies for various sectors, including Automotive, Embedded-IoT, Teleconferencing, and Surveillance. Our intellectual property encompasses RTL, reference drivers, tools, and libraries that empower our clients to innovate and build upon our IP.

Your responsibilities will include specifying and creating new hardware verification testbenches for next-generation hardware IP. You will enhance existing testbenches to boost performance, quality, and efficiency. Additionally, you will pinpoint areas for process and methodology improvements and implement changes to elevate our hardware verification best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating proposed design modifications from a verification complexity perspective.
  • Designing verification IP and comprehensive verification environments.
  • Exploring and scripting new verification workflows while optimizing current ones.
  • Analyzing simulation run data using machine learning and data science techniques to facilitate efficient bug detection and debugging.
  • Developing methodologies and deploying them within the team, taking full ownership of verification closure, and mentoring team members.
  • Collaborating closely with other Arm engineering teams to ensure high-quality IP that integrates seamlessly into complete systems.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in constrained-random verification, including managing a complex verification environment and creating testbenches.
  • Expertise in developing reusable and scalable code with a deep understanding of SV-UVM.
  • Strong scripting capabilities to support both new and existing workflows.
  • Solid software engineering foundation, including knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with tools and processes for developing testbenches and completing all aspects of the verification process.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring.
  • Knowledge of multiprocessing microarchitecture and bus protocols (e.g., AMBA APB/AHB/AXI).
  • Previous experience with Formal Verification testbenches is advantageous.
  • Background in media, video, ISP, or display projects is a plus.
What We Offer:

This position allows you to leverage your engineering expertise to support technologies that will influence millions of devices for years to come. You will have the opportunity to share your ideas with a broader group of leading experts, enhance your technical leadership and influencing skills, and work towards becoming a recognized expert within the team.
