This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned and driven verification engineer to become part of the dynamic Arm Systems ISP team.

This is a high-energy technical position that utilizes cutting-edge hardware design and verification techniques to create intricate and highly adaptable hardware ISP intellectual property.

The focus of this position is within the ISP product verification team.

The ISP division is responsible for designing Image Signal Processors and related technologies for sectors such as Automotive, Embedded-IoT, Teleconferencing, and Surveillance. Our intellectual property encompasses RTL, reference drivers, tools, and libraries that empower our clients to innovate and develop new products based on our IP.

Your responsibilities will include specifying and constructing new hardware verification testbenches for next-generation hardware IP. You will enhance existing testbenches to boost performance, quality, and efficiency. Additionally, you will pinpoint areas for process and methodology improvements and implement those enhancements to elevate our best practices in hardware verification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating and analyzing proposed design modifications from a verification complexity perspective.
  • Designing verification IP and comprehensive verification environments.
  • Exploring and scripting new verification workflows while optimizing current ones.
  • Utilizing machine learning and data science techniques to analyze simulation run data for effective bug detection and debugging.
  • Establishing methodologies and deploying them within the team, while taking full responsibility for verification closure and mentoring team members.
  • Collaborating closely with other Arm engineering teams to ensure high-quality IP that integrates seamlessly within a complete system.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in constrained-random verification, including managing a complex verification environment and developing testbenches.
  • Expertise in creating reusable and scalable code with a strong understanding of SV-UVM.
  • Proficient scripting abilities to develop scripts that support both new and existing workflows.
  • Solid software engineering background, including knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with tools and processes for developing testbenches and completing all verification stages.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring.
  • Knowledge of multiprocessing microarchitecture and bus protocols (e.g., AMBA APB/AHB/AXI).
  • Previous involvement in Formal Verification testbenches is advantageous.
  • Experience in media, video, ISP, or display projects is beneficial.
