We're seeking a skilled Patient Access Officer to join our team at HCA Cancer Network. As a vital member of our Patient Access department, you'll play a crucial role in delivering a high-quality service to our patients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on our hospital database throughout the patient journey.
  • Formally pre-registering or registering patients and ensuring 100% accuracy when requesting and transferring information to our databases.
  • Ensuring all relevant patient documents are signed and scanned to patient accounts, including registration forms and self-pay agreements.
  • Liaising with patients, consultants, secretaries, insurance companies, and third parties to facilitate authorization of ongoing treatment and financial settlements.
  • Responding to telephone, written, and face-to-face queries.
  • Managing patient waiting areas to ensure a smooth service.
  • Adhering to a flexible work pattern, often at short notice.
  • Providing excellent customer care skills.
  • Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
