As the Offshore Crewing Operations Manager, you will hold the primary responsibility for overseeing all crewing functions associated with the designated fleet. You will engage directly with clients regarding all aspects of crewing, ensuring that the vessels are staffed with qualified and experienced personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of the crewing function, ensuring vessels are staffed with capable seafarers while adhering to the Company's safety management protocols.
  • Manage the daily operations of the assigned team, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards, including the administration of leave and absence records.
  • Collaborate with your Line Manager to develop a comprehensive manpower strategy that aligns with Company Key Performance Indicators.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to the manpower strategy across the fleet.
  • Ensure compliance with the latest standards set forth by the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).
  • Guarantee that the assigned fleet maintains adequate union representation.
  • Oversee the crewing system used for maintaining all necessary personnel records.
  • Engage directly with clients, operations, technical departments, and external representatives regarding manning issues and support for crewing operations.
  • Manage vessel operational costs, ensuring processes and procedures are in place to meet budgetary expectations.
  • Coordinate with operations and technical departments regarding personnel disciplinary matters aboard company-managed vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with any charterers' crewing matrix.
  • Lead the development of team members, ensuring that growth and training are effectively managed and documented.
  • Contribute to the preparation of crewing budgets.
  • Promote Company values and behaviors, ensuring team awareness and demonstrating the key behaviors expected within Northern Marine Group.
  • Conduct monthly analyses of manpower, projections, and prepare Marine HR KPI reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Prepare and review monthly the annual manning and crew travel budget analysis/OPEX reports in collaboration with business control.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly budget reviews for specific clients.
  • Travel to Group Company offices as required for audits and related activities.
  • Perform other relevant tasks and project work as assigned by the Company.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or General Business is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading diverse crewing personnel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in influencing and negotiation.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working within a seagoing HR team for a ship management organization.
  • Familiarity with shipping HR-related legislation, including STCW and MLC.
