Position Overview: Our client, a reputable facilities management organization, is seeking a qualified and skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to become a vital part of their team on a significant static site. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday, and opportunities for overtime are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and ensure all necessary documentation and reports are completed accurately.
  • Address Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, maintaining thorough records of actions taken.
  • Participate in a call-out rota to provide comprehensive out-of-hours support for the client.
  • Supervise visiting subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality standards and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Exhibit flexibility by assisting with maintenance tasks across other properties within the portfolio as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures while performing duties.
  • Complete all work-related documentation in a timely and precise manner.
  • Conduct all tasks safely and diligently, following Health and Safety protocols.
  • Daily maintenance tasks will include managing UPS systems, plumbing and drainage, boiler room inspections, cooling towers, fan coil units, air handling units, and heating pumps.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications in a mechanical discipline (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrates experience in a commercial maintenance environment.
  • Experience in healthcare or research and development settings is preferred.
  • Exhibits strong knowledge of building services.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check.
