Join a reputable Facilities Management company that operates within a commercial setting. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Technician to perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks within a commercial property. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Facilities Maintenance and demonstrate a successful history in mechanical and plumbing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs on sanitary fixtures and drainage systems
- Clear blockages in plumbing systems
- Oversee water treatment processes
- Manage waste water treatment operations
- Fix pipework issues and leaks
- Execute minor installation projects
- Assist other tradespeople as needed
- Perform both planned and reactive maintenance
- Change filters for Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
- Conduct checks on boilers and chillers
- Test fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems
- Maintain pumps and motors
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00 (40 hours per week).
Qualifications
- City and Guilds certification in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing
- City and Guilds certification in Water Treatment is preferred
- City and Guilds certification in Legionella control for hot and cold water systems is preferred
- Proven experience in commercial plumbing
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
