Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to join our Imaging Directorate at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. This part-time position within the Reception Team is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses strong multitasking abilities.

This role encompasses a variety of administrative responsibilities alongside providing telephone support for our Helpdesk. Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate will be a proactive thinker, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, and will work well both in a team and independently.

Flexibility is crucial, as the position requires availability to work on a rotating schedule that includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and bank holidays. Additionally, there may be occasional responsibilities at the County Hospital Imaging Department.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet patients upon arrival at the Imaging Department and assist them using the Imaging computerized system. Patients may be visiting for various procedures, including X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology.

- Perform administrative tasks such as processing referrals, managing appointment cancellations, responding to emails, handling phone inquiries, batch printing, and scheduling patients accurately within the appropriate departments, along with other ad hoc duties as required.

- Collaborate effectively with clinical Team Leaders and staff within the Imaging Department.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong educational background in English and Mathematics
  • Experience in a reception or administrative role
  • Understanding of Data Protection and Confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills
