We are seeking a dedicated Band 4 Phlebotomy Supervisor to enhance our workforce across various healthcare facilities. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of phlebotomy personnel in outpatient settings, hospital wards, and community locations, including home visits.

Your responsibilities will include managing staff across multiple sites, with variable shifts scheduled between 6:15 AM and 7 PM, Monday to Friday, along with regular weekend duties on a rotational basis.

This position is ideal for an individual who possesses experience in phlebotomy, demonstrates compassion, and is eager to contribute positively to patient care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating effectively with a diverse team across different departments.

A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory, as travel to various community clinic sites will be required. Candidates selected for this position will undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • 3 GCSE 'O' levels or equivalent, including English
  • At least 12 months of prior phlebotomy experience
  • Certification in phlebotomy
  • Experience with pediatric patients
  • Experience in domiciliary care
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and a professional demeanor, with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Proficient written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with IT applications, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSE 'O' levels (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Science
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting with patient interaction
  • Basic knowledge and competency in CPR and First Aid
