About the role

In this role, you will be stationed in a modern facility that is impeccably maintained (both inside and out). Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the aesthetic and functional integrity of the building, engage with the community, and propose ways in which the team can best support the individuals who work and visit the premises. You will be tasked with maintaining security protocols during nighttime hours, reporting any observations to the client and security supervisor. This position also offers the chance to expand your knowledge and may involve assisting during daytime operations with the client as needed.

You will be consistently monitoring the premises and reporting any issues. Flexibility and a willingness to assist are essential, as you will be a key member of both the team and the building community. During your shifts, you will prioritize customer service while overseeing building security, collaborating with the client's front-of-house team.

We are also seeking someone who can take on additional responsibilities during the day if required. These may include delivering mail, monitoring CCTV, supervising the security team, and various other security-related tasks. It is crucial to understand and strictly adhere to GUK's procedures and protocols regarding Health & Safety, security measures, and building access control.

Comprehensive training will be provided, and we are looking for motivated individuals who will contribute significantly to the ongoing success of GUK.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the building (internally & externally) to identify any issues, ensuring the premises are well-maintained and presentable at all times.
  • Report any faults to the Building Manager.
  • Maintain a 'how can we assist' attitude in all interactions with the team, residents, and clients.
  • Provide information, directions, and escort residents and guests to their desired locations.
  • Address any inquiries from residents and guests promptly and with urgency.
  • Offer acts of kindness to residents and guests to foster a welcoming atmosphere and build rapport while maintaining professional relationships.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to GUK's procedures and protocols regarding Health & Safety, security measures, and building access control.

Must have:

  • SIA licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic report writing and IT skills, including the ability to compose emails and prepare incident reports.
  • Proactive initiative to prioritize tasks within your workload.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • A good level of spoken and written English.
  • Experience in dealing with challenging individuals and finding effective solutions.
