Role Overview

In this position, you will be stationed in a modern facility that is impeccably maintained (both inside and out). Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the aesthetic and functional integrity of the building, familiarize yourself with the community, and propose enhancements for optimal support to the individuals who work and visit the premises. You will be tasked with enforcing building security protocols during nighttime hours, documenting any observations for the client and security supervisor. This role also presents an opportunity for you to expand your expertise and potentially assist during daytime operations with the client.

You will consistently oversee the premises and report any discrepancies. Flexibility and a willingness to contribute as a key member of the team and the building community are essential. Your focus during working hours will be on customer service and monitoring security, collaborating with the client's front-of-house team.

We are also seeking someone who can take on additional responsibilities during the day if required. These tasks may include delivering mail, monitoring CCTV, supervising the security team, and performing various other security functions. It is crucial to understand and strictly adhere to GUK's protocols regarding Health & Safety, security measures, and building access control.

Comprehensive training will be provided, and we are looking for motivated individuals who will significantly contribute to the ongoing success of GUK.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the building (internally & externally) to identify any issues, ensuring the premises are well-maintained and presentable at all times.
  • Report any faults to the Building Manager.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude focused on 'how can we assist' in all interactions with the team and the residents.
  • Provide information, directions, and escort residents and guests to their desired locations.
  • Address any inquiries from residents and guests with a sense of urgency and care.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests, building rapport and maintaining excellent professional relationships.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to GUK's protocols regarding Health & Safety, security measures, and building access control.

Required Qualifications:

  • SIA licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic report writing and IT skills, including composing emails and preparing incident reports.
  • Ability to proactively prioritize tasks within your workload.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
  • Experience in handling challenging situations and finding effective solutions.
