About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Coordinator to join our team at DPD Group UK. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Checks: Conduct daily checks on all fleet vehicles, including rental vehicles, to ensure they are in good condition and meet company standards.
  • Weight Compliance: Verify that all 3.5-tonne vans do not exceed the weight limit using the weighbridge.
  • VOR (Vehicle Off Road) Management: Identify and report any vehicles that are off-road due to damage or defects.
  • Equipment Checks: Inspect all associated vehicle equipment, including material handling equipment, jump packs, fuel pumps, and enclosures.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that the site adheres to health and safety rules, including clear traffic flow and effective parking.
  • Driver Compliance: Verify that all drivers have the correct DPD uniform at all times and that vehicles are kept clean.
Weekly Checks
  • Damage Reporting: Populate 21-day notice letters via the app for any damage found on Owner Driver vehicles.
  • Calendar Management: Record all 21-day notices/7-day notices into a shared Google Calendar with the Transport Team.
  • Review and Follow-up: Review any outstanding 21-day notice letters with the Depot Quality Manager or Depot Manager.
  • Fleet Stock Management: Conduct weekly checks on fleet stock, including mirror glasses, lamps, and bulbs, and reorder as required.
  • Gritter Maintenance: Ensure that the gritter is in full working order and clean during the winter period.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication, listening, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Planning and Organizing: Good planning and organizing skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to cope with change and handle difficult situations and challenging conversations.
  • Initiative: Able to work on your own initiative and without close supervision.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including health and safety.
