About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Section Engineer to join our team at Sphere Solutions. As a key member of our data center project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering of civil infrastructure within a specific section of work on a major project in South Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications
  • Verifying plans, drawings, and quantities to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensuring that all materials used and work performed meet the required specifications and standards
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and equipment
  • Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Carrying out day-to-day site measurements and assisting the site supervisor in recording daily work
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to produce ITPs and maintain control of site quality
  • Preparing reports and managing permit requests
  • Raising any unexpected technical difficulties and working closely with the Project Manager to resolve them
Requirements
  • Degree or HNC/HND in a construction-related or engineering discipline
  • CSCS card
  • SMSTS
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Excellent working knowledge of GPS & Total Station
