About the Role:
Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Child Care Officer to join our team in the Liverpool area. As a Child Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and advocating on behalf of children and young people to ensure they have a voice in Children's Service and can influence service development and improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
- To oversee and coordinate participation activities within the service, ensuring the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers.
- To implement and coordinate the use of Mind of My Own within the service, providing meaningful feedback to children in care on the outcomes of consultations and other activities.
- To support the corporate parenting committee, ensuring the effective involvement and influence of children in care and care leavers.
Requirements:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent, with a recognised relevant professional qualification (e.g. Youth Work and/or Social Work).
- Experience of working within a social care/childcare setting, with direct work experience with children and young people.
This is a 6-month initial placement, with a hybrid working pattern that includes on-site working at least 2 days per week. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in IT systems, confident in communication, and able to produce high-quality work within pressurised timescales. They will have excellent organisation and time management skills, and be able to use their own initiative working autonomously.
