Accounts Payable Team Leader

OCS UK & Ireland, a leading facilities management company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our team based in Ipswich. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing a high-volume transactional Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and supplier payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and develop the existing accounts payable team, driving team performance and delivery of objectives.
- Oversee daily, weekly, and month-end processes for accounts payable functions, including month-end close, supplier statement reconciliations, and invoice processing.
- Establish a proactive process of supplier statement reconciliation, identifying and resolving differences.
- Work with the AP manager and finance leads to ensure accurate and timely data for business operations.
- Provide training to staff within accounts payable teams and produce valuable management information for strategic decision-making.
- Identify, manage, and resolve potential problem accounts, investigate and handle queries, and compile necessary documentation for escalation.
- Ensure CIS tax submissions are completed accurately in accordance with deadlines.
- Experience managing a high-volume transactional Accounts Payable function.
- Line management experience, including managing temporary resource.
- Flexible and positive attitude towards work.
- Experience using Access Dimensions, Concept, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and OCR technology is desirable.
- AAT level 4 or comparative finance qualification is desirable.
- High level of Microsoft Excel competency.
