Key Responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

Oversee the payroll coordination and ensure accurate compilation of payroll data for our financial service providers. Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding salaries and payroll matters. Assist the HR Manager in the annual salary review process, including the management of timelines and outcomes. Provide comprehensive support regarding compensation and benefits for the organization, offering guidance to managers and employees. Collaborate with the HR Manager to renew, communicate, and promote our organization-wide benefits offerings. Analyze current and emerging benefits trends to inform our compensation strategy. Actively participate in the organization's wellbeing committee, promoting health and wellness initiatives.

Employee Lifecycle Management

Counsel Team Leaders on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, redundancies, and organizational changes. Assist in reviewing existing HR policies. Manage processes related to maternity leave, flexible working arrangements, and family-friendly initiatives. Oversee absence management, including sickness cases and facilitating return-to-work meetings, engaging Occupational Health as needed. Maintain HR records to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. Support the HR Manager in coordinating the annual performance appraisal process. Aid the HR Manager in coaching team leaders to effectively implement HR practices.

Learning & Development

Act as the main liaison with apprenticeship providers and support current apprentices. Identify opportunities to leverage the organization's Apprenticeship Levy. Stay informed about regulatory requirements related to Trainee Solicitor qualifications. Assist the Training Principal in managing Trainee Solicitor pathways, including registration and performance management. Supervise the administration of all learning and development initiatives. Manage the learning and development budget. Oversee requests for educational sponsorship.

Recruitment

Participate in recruitment initiatives as necessary, ensuring adherence to best practices and providing an exceptional candidate experience. Enhance personal knowledge to provide insights into the legal recruitment landscape. Act as a deputy for the Talent and Acquisitions Advisor in their absence.

Additional Responsibilities

Contribute to various HR departmental projects and activities as required.

Person Specification

Strong academic credentials. CIPD qualification at Level 5 or Level 7.

Skills and Experience

At least 3 years of HR experience, ideally within professional services. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Practical and analytical; capable of resolving issues efficiently. Demonstrated experience in compensation and benefits. Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.
