Sense Scotland is seeking to hire Waken Night Shift Support Practitioners for 10-hour shifts (10pm to 8am), available on both part-time and full-time schedules. Located in a serene rural setting, our dedicated support team provides round-the-clock care for individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, complex epilepsy, autism, and Down syndrome, in the comfort of their own homes.
This position is a Waking Night Support role within the designated area. You will be instrumental in delivering personalized support to individuals with complex needs and learning disabilities. The role encompasses both independent working and teamwork, ensuring that the necessary support is provided in accordance with risk assessments and support plans. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular safety checks to ensure the well-being and comfort of the individuals we support.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Assisting with morning and evening routines.
- Keeping accurate written records using IT systems, including updates to support plans, incident logs, and health and safety documentation.
- Fostering a calm and therapeutic atmosphere for those we assist.
- Aiding individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication support.
Comprehensive training and orientation will be provided prior to commencement, along with opportunities for job shadowing. You will become part of a well-established team that is friendly and welcoming.
