Regional Service Manager

Orion Electrotech is seeking a highly skilled Regional Service Manager to join our team in Livingston. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our Scotland region and ensuring the efficient operation of our Service Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Attend to customer requirements and ensure that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Resource Management: Maximise the use of resources available to the Service Centre to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that service technicians' work is completed to the highest mechanical standards, adhering to our quality control processes.
  • Administration: Complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all records and reports are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Depot Management: Maintain a high standard of depot housekeeping and cleanliness, ensuring that our facilities reflect positively on our brand.
  • Workload Prioritisation: Assist the Service Centre controller in prioritising engineer workload to ensure that all work is covered in good time.
  • Monthly Objectives: Ensure that the Service Centre meets its monthly objectives, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Cost Control: Continuously monitor depot overheads and ensure that spend does not exceed budget, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Staff Development: Monitor and improve Service Centre staff efficiency, productivity, and utilisation, providing training and support as needed.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to problem jobs, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Parts Management: Ensure that the correct levels of parts are held in both the Service Centre parts department and technicians' vans.
  • Fixed First Visit: Drive the highest level of 'Fixed First Visit' to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • HR Administration: Approve holiday requests within the Service Centre, ensuring that staff are able to take time off when needed.
  • Training and Development: Identify technician training needs and provide support to ensure that our staff are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Customer Visits: Make regular customer visits as required, building strong relationships and ensuring that our customers are satisfied with our service.
  • Contract Management: Control contracts, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service and that our business is protected.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a service manager role, with a strong background in commercial operations.
  • Customer Focus: Comfortable in a customer-facing environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: From a special purpose vehicle, plant, manual handling, or HGV background, with a good understanding of mechanical standards and quality control processes.
  • Management Experience: Good management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • IT Skills: Experienced with SAP system (desirable).
  • Driving Licence: Clean driving licence, with the ability to travel to customer sites as required.
